Design Engineer (Mid)
The Mid Level Engineer / Structural Designer is expected to deliver innovative structural projects and manufacturing details of projects with guidance from the Structural Design and Engineering Manager. Responsible for engineering integrity and measurement with maximum focus on item / product delivery (with guidance).
Responsibilities
Critical Decision making
- Understand the process flow of Production in order to mitigate incorrect decisions.
- Understand the holistic product development life cycle from Studio to Production to assist in the decision making process.
Planning and Organising
- Ensure on time delivery for Engineering part of the product development.
- Ensure time is managed well to mitigate any delays in Engineering part of the product development.
- The Mid Level Engineer/Structural Designer may at times need to work towards project specific timelines.
Technical Engineering and Adhoc
- Create 3D models and drawing packs for Manufacturing purposes.
- Any other reasonable request from management including particular projects as and when needed.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications and Skills
● BSc / BEng Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering Degree.
● 3D CAD.
● Creo (advantageous)
Years of experience needed
● 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing with a diverse knowledge of processes.
● 1-2 years industry specific (advantageous).
