Account Manager / Senior Account Manager

Responsibilities
- Gain an intimate understanding of our clients' businesses, their unique needs, and long-term objectives, prioritising customer satisfaction and ongoing loyalty.
- Collaborate with clients to efficiently plan and execute projects, actively seeking to enhance the shopper marketing experience.
- Present ideas convincingly to drive outstanding shopper marketing insight that positions Barrows as thought-leaders.
- Comfort seeking help when uncertain, while actively avoiding diffusion of responsibility.
- Foster an environment of open and honest communication, providing and receiving feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Take initiative and demonstrate a sense of urgency in client management, ensuring timely and efficient project/ job completion.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- Have a strong ability to observe people in more senior positions and learn from their client manner, adopting their skills and techniques.
- Strike a delicate balance between maintaining our unwavering commitment to customer-centricity and helping to nurture the well-being and morale of the team.
STRATEGY
- Actively try to identify opportunities to cross and up-sell complementary services.
- Collaborate seamlessly with our in-house strategists to devise comprehensive insights driven campaigns.
- When appropriate, advocate to implement a data-driven approach to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and adapt strategies in real-time.
CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT
- Safeguard brand identity and stay updated on industry trends and happenings.
- Ensure the client's voice remains prominent while pushing creative boundaries.
- Work closely with the creative team to understand the creative process, managing expectations, timelines, and budgets.
- Provide strategic feedback during creative work reviews.
OPERATIONAL
- Actively seek opportunities for improvement, making incremental changes to optimise processes and outcomes.
- Manage asset delivery to Retailers and actively seek opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, on-brief, and on-budget project completion.
- Oversee client status meetings, attend client-facing meetings as much as possible, and create contact reports.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of contractual obligations, commercial arrangements, and SLAs, escalating issues when necessary.
FINANCIAL
- Possess strong financial management and budget tracking skills.
- Work closely with Strategy and Creative teams on estimations, forecasting, and forward planning.
Qualifications
- Experience in retail and shopper marketing experience is a bonus
- Experience working at pace and answering briefs with a fast turnaround
- Excellent communication/presentation skills and an ability to inspire internal and external stakeholders
- An interest in the retail landscape, including channels, trends and technologies
- Comfortable working in a team environment and briefing designers and strategists
- Understanding of G-Suite, Slack, monday.com or basecamp is a bonus
